From the Ground Up

Help you and your family thrive with clear-loving boundaries, secure bonds, and ADHD empowerment.

Securely Thriving provides attachment-based therapy and support in Nelson, BC.

Led by Ari, a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with over 20 years of experience in child and youth care, early childhood education, and therapeutic practice, we help families, adults, and schools navigate challenges through nervous system-informed, relational approaches.

Whether you're a parent seeking support for ADHD challenges, an adult working through relationship patterns or life transitions, or an educator looking for trauma-informed strategies, we offer compassionate, evidence-based care both locally in the Kootenays and virtually throughout Canada and internationally.

Our work is grounded in the understanding that lasting change happens when we address what's happening in the nervous system and repair attachment wounds—not just manage symptoms. Through somatic therapy, attachment-based family support, and relational approaches, we help children and adults build genuine capacity for regulation, connection, and thriving.

Our Approach

This work isn’t about fixing people.
We offer a developmental, trauma-informed approach that centers

co-regulation, emotional safety, and small shifts that lead to lasting change.

TESTIMONIALS

Chris Jepson

User Image

“Ariel has been a pleasure to work with. His kind, soft, and deep presence is always felt throughout the entirety of the sessions. And while the sessions have been quite safe and gentle, the results I have experienced have been transformational. The thing I value the most is his ability to quickly and skillfully tune into me personally as I am, find the edges of my current comfort zone and bring me right to them to explore together. This has cut through any noise and gotten straight into the good stuff. I would highly recommend anyone looking for support and/or growth to work with Ariel!”

Ari is both deeply caring and deeply relaxed— he embodies the work he does. Highly recommended.”

FAQS

What makes your approach unique?

This is a bottom-up approach to fostering health in relationships at every level. Instead of behaviour management, we focus on Secure Attachment and Nervous System Awareness as the foundation for growth.

Our multi-disciplinary approach includes Evidence-Based strategies from Waldorf Pedagogy, Developmental Psychology, and Somatic Therapy that lead from Surviving to Thriving.

Who do you work with?

I work with Parents, Caregivers, Educators, and Helping Professionals navigating the challenges of ADHD, Emotional Regulation, and Family Dynamics.

You are in the right place if you are looking for Resources, Personalized Support, Parenting Groups, Workshops, or School Collaboration.

Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis to work with you?

Not at all. A Nervous System informed approach benefits all families and schools.

What’s the first step?

Start by booking a free, no-pressure call. It’s a chance to share a bit about your situation, ask questions, and see if this support feels like the right fit.

About Securely Thriving

I founded Securely Thriving out of lived experience and professional conviction that meaningful support must go deeper than behaviour, and begin with connection, safety, and relationship.

As a parent, educator, and somatic therapist, I understand the incredible importance of safety through secure attachment at every stage of the developmental journey. This isn’t about perfection, it’s about creating the conditions where adults and children feel safe enough to grow.

Securely Thriving exists to walk alongside families, educators, and communities doing this brave, beautiful, sometimes overwhelming work — with clarity, care, and compassion.
